New Functionality

Create Press Direction

This new command analyzes geometrical elements to create and optimize a press direction.

Analysis Configuration

This new commands sets global parameters for analyses.

Enhanced Functionality

Process Generator Wizard

• The Method plan section has been enhanced with a Method Plan button that starts a dialog box with more options.
• The Operation Planning section has been enhanced with a Group Tools button and a Position OP button.

Create Cam Direction

Optimize Direction has been renamed into Create Cam Direction and globally enhanced.

Cut Analysis

A new analysis is proposed: Analyze Insertion Depth to check that the travel of a cutting tool ensures a complete cut of the material.

Trim Partition, Scrap Partition

Both commands have been enhanced to define scrap cutters, which are automatically typed as Scrap hole or Scrap line. You can change this type.

All Analyses

New parameters or actions are available, such as:

• Mesh Lay Down Tolerance: Projection tolerance to compute normals on a mesh.
• Maximum Lay Down Deviation
• Extract Areas: They are stored as dead geometries and labels.
• Use Local Minima and Maxima for Extract Areas: The number and locations of 3D labels are optimized to match the extremum analysis values.

Process Step

This command has been split into:

• Process Method Plan to create and edit the Method Plan feature.
• Process Step to create and edit a process step.

Process Tools

Whenever a tool direction is specified, for example in the Process Generator Wizard, or in Tools Properties, Die Face Design checks whether it is a press direction or a cam direction. If it is a cam direction, the option Associate direction to step swiveling is automatically selected. This improves the management of design changes: When editing the step blank or part swiveling, the cam direction is impacted whereas the press direction is not.

Process Export

Process Export now supports

• The use of knowledgeware
• The export of screenshots of the 3D scene
• An attribute corresponding to the tool/operation, added to each process operation and tool node in the XML file.

Customizing Settings

Global

Two options have been added:

• Display detailed text in dialog proposes more guidance in some commands.
• Extrapolation length of cutting lines during process planing initializes the parameter with the same name. When modified, all the cutting lines of type "outer cut tools" are extrapolated on both sides.
