To edit the topology, click Edit Topology
.
-
To edit the mesh, click Edit Mesh
.
-
To impose nodes, choose one of the following methods:
When you remove the mesh, those 1D specifications are lost. |
-
To remesh domains with a mesh method different from the
one defined in the rule file, select one of the commands available under Frontal Quadrangle Method
.
To learn more about the mesh methods you can use to remesh
domains, see Remeshing
Domains. When you remove the mesh, those 2D specifications are
lost. |
-
To lock meshed domains or unlock locked domains, click
Lock Domain
,
and select in sequence the meshed domains you want to lock or the locked
domains you want to unlock.
Locked domains are transparent and cannot be remeshed.
Locked domains are not impacted by modifications applied to
their neighboring domains. |
-
To stop locking or unlocking domains, click Lock Domain
again.
-
To remove the generated mesh on domains, click
Remove Mesh on Domain
,
and select the domains in sequence. The mesh must have been generated.
-
To stop removing mesh on domains, click
Remove Mesh on Domain
again.
-
To split quadrangle elements to improve the mesh
quality, click Split Quadrangles
.
The Split Quadrangles dialog box appears.
You can switch to the quality visualization mode for a better
visualization. See Visualizing a Rule Based Surface Mesh Part.
-
In the Element quality list,
select one of the following:
- Bad to split only the quadrangle
elements with a bad mesh quality.
- Bad and poor to split quadrangle
elements with a bad or poor mesh quality.
- Poor to split only the quadrangle
elements with a poor mesh quality.
- All to split all the quadrangle
elements.
|
-
Click OK.
 |
A quadrangle element is split only if the two resulting
elements have a better mesh quality. |
