Customizing Settings

Select Tools > Options. The Options dialog box is displayed.

Choose the Mechanical Design category in the left-hand box.

Select the 2D Layout for 3D Design sub-category. The following tabs are available:

• Display lets you set options to track the history of displayed views and select display colors for callouts of non-perpendicular views.

• View Creation lets you set options that will be used when creating views.

• Visualization lets you customize the visualization of cutting plane and display the background and for highlighting the sub-elements.

• Geometry lets you set options that will be used when creating 2D geometry.

• Administration for 2D Layout for 3D Design lets you customize options for the management of layouts.
  

Set options in this tab according to your requirement.

Select the Drafting sub-category. The following tabs are available:

• General lets you set general settings to be used in the Generative Drafting workbench.

• Layout lets you customize options that will be used when creating views or when adding sheets.

• View lets you customize geometry, dress-up and view generation options that will be used when generating views.

• Geometry lets you customize options that will be used when creating 2D geometry, whether using autodetection (or SmartPick) or not, or still adding constraints to this geometry.

• Dimension lets you customize options that will be used when creating or re-positioning dimensions.

• Manipulators lets you visualize options that will be used for manipulators whenever creating or modifying dimensions.

• Annotation and Dress-Up lets you customize options that will be used when creating annotations.

• Administration for Drafting lets you customize options for the management of drawings.

Note that the settings in this sub-category apply to 2D Layout for 3D Design as well as to the Drafting workbenches. Some settings may not apply to 2D Layout for 3D Design.

Click OK in the Options dialog box when done.
