An Engineering Requirement conveys a specific intention for a given part
within the context of the assembly environment. This information is represented through a 3D annotation contained
in a CATPart or CATProduct placed by a Design Engineer.
Once an Engineering Requirement has been created in CATIA and
subsequently loaded into a DPM session, the assembly plan must account for any Engineering Requirements that have
been defined for its components. This process is called reconciling the Engineering Requirements. When a
given Engineering Requirement has been acknowledged and addressed in an assembly plan, it is considered to have
been implemented. In general, Engineering Requirements can be implemented at any level in a process plan.
