Adding Directions

This task shows you how to add directions used in your design.

Available in Composites Engineering Design (CPE), Composites Design for Manufacturing (CPM) and Composites Braiding (CPB).
Open an empty CATPart in either Composites Design or Grid Composites Design.

  1. Click Composites Parameters  in the Parameters toolbar.
    Go to the Directions tab.

  2. Click Add Direction.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, enter the name, the value and the color of the direction.
    Click OK to validate and revert to the Composites Parameters dialog box.

  4. In the Directions tab, select a direction.
    Its color is displayed at the bottom of the tab.
    • Use the Up and Down arrows to change the order of the direction values.
    • Click Edit Direction to edit it.
    • Click Remove Direction to remove it.
