Select Customize View Parameters in the
View Mode sub-toolbar of the View toolbar.
The View Mode Customization dialog box is displayed.
-
In the Options section of the View Mode
Customization dialog box, select the Rendering style per
object option.
-
Right-click a view and select a rendering style in
Rendering Style list.
The available rendering styles are:
| |
- No specific Rendering Style
- Shading

- Shading with Edges

- Wireframe

- Customize Style

|
 |
Tip: You can also apply a specific rendering style from the
view properties. Right-click the view and select Properties.
In the Visualization
tab of the Properties
dialog box, select a rendering style in the
Rendering Style list. |
The rendering style of the selected view is
changed.
 |
Notes: |
|
- If no specific styles are applied on a given view then the
view assumes the rendering style of the layout.
- After application of individual rendering styles on views,
if you clear the Rendering style per object option,
the views are visualized with rendering style of the layout.
- The specific rendering styles defined on view are not
visualized if the rendering style of the layout viewer is one of
the following:
| |
- Hidden edged and points
- Tessellation (Triangles)
- Isoparametric curves
- Toon
|
When applying one of these rendering styles on the layout viewer
the Rendering style per object option is deactivated.
A message is displayed prompting the same.
- In the specification tree, a mask is added to the view when
the render style defined on the view or the layout viewer cannot be visualized.
- When you clear the Rendering style per object
option, or apply any of the above mentioned styles, then the
rendering style applied on the view is removed and reapplied
when you select the Rendering style per object option
or remove the styles.
- If you clear the Rendering style per object
option and apply a specific rendering style on a view, then a
message is displayed prompting if the option should be selected
automatically. Clicking Yes activates the
Rendering style per object option and the selected style
is applied on the view. Clicking No keeps the
rendering style of the layout.
- The rendering style of the pasted view or section is the
same as the copied view or section.
- If you select the Allow modification of Rendering Style
of the Layout viewer option in Tools > Options >
Mechanical Design > 2D Layout for 3D Design > Visualization
tab >
Render Style On View section, then the above mentioned
message is not displayed and the rendering style is applied on
the view directly.
- Some of the rendering styles are applicable to a view only
if the Outline option is selected in the View
Mode Customization dialog box of the layout.
So, if you select any of these rendering styles and the
Outline option is cleared, then a message is displayed
asking if you want to select the Outline option.
Clicking Yes activates the Outline option
and the selected rendering style is applied on the selected
view. Clicking No keeps the rendering style of the
layout.
- When both the Outline option and the
Rendering style per object option are required to
visualize the rendering style of the selected view, then a
message is displayed asking if you want to select the
Outline option.
Clicking Yes activates both the options and the
selected rendering style is applied on the selected view.
Clicking No keeps the rendering style of the layout.
- Selecting the Rendering style per object
check box and the Outline options through the View
Mode Customization dialog box ensures the definition of a
specific rendering style on each view to visualize different
view backgrounds with different rendering styles.
- Selecting the Allow modification of Rendering Style on
Layout viewer check box ensures the visualization of the
rendering style defined on the view or section.
- In the Customize Style dialog box, when you
select the No Display check box, no rendering style
is displayed on the view or section.
- If a rendering style is defined on the layout viewer with the Rendering
style per object check box selected, for better
recognition the view mode icon remains the same.
- The visualization compatibility between the rendering style
defined on the view and the layout viewer can be described
through the following icons:
 |
If all options defined on the view can be visualized
in conformity with layout viewer render style. |
 |
If an option defined on the view cannot be
visualized but it is possible to add an option on the
layout viewer render style to correctly visualize the
option on the view. |
 |
If an option defined on the view cannot be
visualized because an option defined on the layout
viewer render style does not allow “Rendering per
Object” option. |
