This section describes the View Creation dialog box, which
appears when you select New View From to create a view from a
3D plane, face or sketch.
This dialog box contains controls for:

General
|
 |
- Name
Specifies the view name.
- Type
Specifies the view type.
The options in the Type combo box are as follows:
- Projection View (Auxiliary): Creates a
projection/auxiliary view.
- Section View: Creates a section view.
- Section Cut: Creates a section cut.
- Axonometric View
Indicates an axonometric view. In this case, the box is unavailable,
as you cannot modify the view type.
- Scale
Specifies the view scale.

If you select Propagate scale
from active view check box from
Tools > Options > Mechanical
Design > 2D
Layout for 3D Design > View Creation tab, under
View from Reference,
the scale of the active view is followed. |
Click
to activate or deactivate the scale editor.

Support

Changes the support type or reference support of the view.

The Reference and Point options are
available for axonometric views. The Type,
Reference and Reverse Normal options are
available for other types of views. |
- Type
The following options are available:
- View from Reference.
- View from Profile: Selecting this option makes
the following options unavailable:
- Type
- Reference
- The Orientation section

- Reference
Changes the reference support/3D viewpoint of the view.
- Isolated
Isolates the view from its reference support.
If you clear this check box, the view can be associated with another
reference support. In this case, you will not be able to change the
view orientation.
- Invert Normal
Inverts the normal of the view. You can also invert it by clicking
the view normal in 3D.
- Point
Lets you define the view origin by clicking a 3D point or vertex, or
indicating a point on a surface or a curve, in the 3D window.
