Sketching a Curve on a Surface

You can sketch a curve directly on a surface or refine a curve on a surface.
Create a 3D shape containing a surface.

  1. From the Creation toolbar, click Sketch Curve .
    A Tools Palette is displayed.

  2. Click On Surface and start drawing the curve.

    You can also access this command by pressing Ctrl+Shift+W.

    The curve is sketched and lies on the surface.

  3. Click On Surface again to deselect the icon.
