Inserting Break Lines

 

This task shows you how to sculpt a terrain by inserting break lines, i.e. scans composed of points measured on the site.
Open the BreakLines01.CATPart model the from the samples directory.

  1. Click Break Lines  in the Terrain Modeling toolbar.

  2. Select the mesh where you want to insert the break lines.
    is available to hide or show the selection.

  3. Select the scans made of the points measured on the site.
    • is available to hide or show the selection.
    • Multi-selection is available to let you select several scans.

  4. Click Apply.
    The break lines are computed and displayed.

  5. Click OK to validate and exit the dialog box.
    The original mesh is hidden. A new mesh Break Lines.x is created.
