Previewing the Rosette

This task shows you how to preview the transfer of the rosette. It is a way to display the fiber direction.
Available in Composites Engineering Design (CPE), Composites Design for Manufacturing (CPM) and Composites Braiding (CPB).
Open the ManufacturingData1.CATPart document.

  1. Click  Rosette Preview   in the Analysis toolbar.
    The Rosette Preview dialog box appears.

  2. Select the Rosette to preview.
    Its transfer type is displayed in the dialog box.

  3. Select the Surface.
    The selected surface is discretized and transferred rosettes are displayed.

  4. Optional: Adjust the density of the transferred rosettes with the slider in the dialog box.

  5. Click more locations on the surface to add transferred rosette previews on those locations.

  6. Optional: Select a specific orientation from the list to filter the display accordingly.
    Only this orientation is displayed.

  7. Click Close to exit the dialog box.
