Extracting Girth Table Data in XML File

This task shows you how to extract girth table data in an XML file. The extracted document will show intersection points of reference and attachment lines for the girth tapes of a curved panel joining activity in table format. All this information is retrieved from a CATPart resource generated when the activity was created.

Important: You must have already generated the Girth Table resource data. If you have not done so, you will not be able to extract Girth Table workshop documents.

  1. Click Workshop Documents Extraction .
The Workshop Documents Extraction dialog box appears.

  2. Select the SHELL.1 Joining activity in the PPR tree.

Note that two different type of workshop documents can be extracted for Girth Tables:
    - XML data file
    - resource sketch.

  3. Click the To Extract column to indicate whether or not you want to extract the associated document:
Clicking in this column switches the value from Yes to No and vice-versa.
Set to Yes for Girth table XML data only.

  4. Click Launch when done.
Requested workshop document is generated and saved in the location identified in the Project Resource Management (PRM) file.

  5. Open the XML file at the save location
(for example C:\Temp\SHELL.1 Joining activity.1_Girth table XML data.xml).
