About the Manipulation Toolbar

The Manipulation toolbar offers different options, depending on where you are in the move activity creation process.
When you are defining the shuttle, the following Manipulation toolbar appears:
This toolbar provides the following options:
The Expand Preview Window command, which provides users with full-size process window. (To return to the process window, you can either select the appropriate process window from the Window menu or you can double click on this command.)
The Reframe command becomes enabled when you are in the Expanded Preview Window. It reframes the window so that the view is centered on the selected geometry.
The Smart Target command is described in Using Targets in Move Activity Creation.
The Dynamic Smart Target command snaps one recognized geometry to recognized geometry if one is in the proximity of the other. See Using Dynamic Smart Target.
The Invert command inverts the 3D compass orientation and the shuttle attached.
The Editor command allows you to edit the compass position.  See Using Advanced Part Motion.
The Reset command swaps to the original shuttle position.
The Define Snapping Axis command sets a snap axis.
To find out more about the Attach/Detach command, see Using Advanced Part Motion.
When defining the track, following Manipulation toolbar is displayed:
The command unique to this toolbar is Save Initial State .

The command enables you to save an initial state for the entire process prior to moving the geometry as part of a Move Activity command. If you attempt to save the initial state after you have moved the geometry, you are prompted to verify that you wish to do this:

  • Selecting Yes creates the new initial state
  • Selecting No leaves the user with the original state.

The Attach/Detach command in the Manipulation toolbar can be used to relocate object(s) in the Move activity to a new position in a creation or edit scenario. Save Initial State is used to store the initial position. This initial position is saved for the entire process and is not effective immediately inside the current Move Activity simulation scenario. To see the effect of the Save Initial State command, current Move Activity command must be exited and re-launched.
