Using Quick View

In order to allow users to view specific items in their geometric data, Inspection offers a set of quick view commands that turn on or off specific features.  Each command serves as a toggle: if the feature currently is not shown in the geometry, clicking on the command will make it visible and vice versa.

When defining a group point feature, irrespective of the current view setting, the view mode is temporarily changed to Feature Normal View. The view is restored to its original value once the group point feature has been defined. This is done so that the user can also see if the normal of the generated point is proper, and can flip it using the Flip Normal option, if required.

The table below explains the role of each command:

Use To See or Hide
All secure box
All define feature geometric data (names and point views will remain unaffected)
All define feature point view data (e.g., tags)
All define feature point and geometric view data
Current visualization is hidden and arrow visualization (of normal) is displayed instead
Current visualization is hidden and arrow (showing normal) with geometry visualization is displayed instead
All define feature data
All measure feature path data (e.g., vectors).  These vectors are displayed from the last point of the last feature path to the first point of the next feature path.
All measure feature data
All construct feature geometric data (names and point views will remain unaffected)
All construct feature point view data (e.g., tags)
All construct feature point and geometric view data
All construct feature data
