Checking Resources

This procedure describes how to check how well a DME can perform the inspection process.  The commands in this procedure verify that the inspect resources can reach the measurement paths.
This procedure assumes you have created one or more measurement paths.  The resources must be correctly assigned to the process.
  1. (Optional) Enable collision.

  2. On the PPR tree, select a operation activity.

  3. Click Reach Analysis.

On the PPR tree, the activities may change color. If all the points of the path defined by an activity are reachable (and collision-free, if collision is enabled), the activity is colored as green. If at least one point is not reachable or results in collision, the activity is colored red. If the activity is ignored, i.e., if it is not a measurement activity, the color does not change.
On the geometry, points that are not reachable or results in collision are highlighted.
  4. Click Restore Reach Status.

The colors on the PPR tree and geometry return to their original condition.
  5. Click Create Envelop.

On the geometry, you can an envelop for the reachable volume of the device. Any point inside that envelop is reachable by the device.
  6. Click (i.e., deselect) Create Envelop.
