Trimming Splines and Connecting Curves

You can trim spline and connecting curves. The trimmed support curve is displayed by a thinner line.
 

Trim a Spline

  You can trim a spline. The trimmed part is displayed by a thin line to clarify the original shape of the support curve.
Sketch a profile containing a spline.
  1. Click Trim in the Operations toolbar.

  2. Select the spline to be trimmed.
    The position of the click on the spline is important as it determines the curve part that will be kept.

  3. Trace the part of the spline to be trimmed.
    The part to be trimmed is marked with a thin line.

  1. Click the required position on the spline to end the trimming.

   
 

Trim a Connecting Curve

  You can trim a connecting curve. The trimmed part is displayed by a thin line to clarify the original shape of the connecting curve.

  1. Click Trim in the Operations toolbar.

  1. Select the connecting curve to be trimmed.
    The position of the click on the spline is important as it determines the curve part that will be kept.

  1. Trace the part of the connecting curve to be trimmed.
    The part to be trimmed is marked with a thin line.

  2. Click at the required position on the connecting curve to end the trimming.

The thin line representing the trimmed part is non-editable.
