Finding an Object in the Tree

 

This task shows you how to locate one or many objects in the specification tree.
Open the document Search1.CATProduct.

  1. In the geometry area, right-click the object of your choice.

  2. Select Center graph.

    The specification tree is expanded down to the selected object's node and is located in the center of the screen. The object is also selected in the geometry area and in the specification tree:
    The Center graph command uses the HSO (set of highlighted objects) and not the CSO (set of selected objects). In general, these two sets are identical but in some cases, the HSO might be a superset of the CSO (e.g. cross highlight). Therefore, an object might be in the CSO but not in the HSO (i.e. selected but not highlighted).
