Select View > Tree Expansion > Expand First Level to see the
first level of the tree:
-
Select View > Tree Expansion > Expand Second Level to see
the second level of the tree:
-
Select
View > Tree Expansion > Expand All to see all the levels of
the tree.
-
When
an object is selected in the tree, you can select View > Tree
Expansion > Expand Selection. A dialog box opens and prompts you to
indicate the expansion depth:
 |
 |
Important:
- Depth "1" means that only one row is displayed; it has the
same behavior as the Collapse All command.
- Depth "2" means that only two rows are displayed; it has
the same behavior as the Expand First Level command.
- Depth "3" means that only three rows are displayed; it has
the same behavior as the Expand Second Level command.
Note that the dialog box
keeps the last selection you made.
|
-
Select View > Tree Expansion > Collapse All to collapse
the whole tree.
 |
- When using the Collapse All command, not all
expansion behaviors are kept and the expansion level (i.e. the
number of levels expanded after one click) of nodes when you
reopen the tree is modified: when you run the Collapse All
command on nodes corresponding to first-level features, the
nodes are always restored to a collapsed state whatever their
state before running the command.
- The expansion level of nodes can be changed by exporting the
CATExpandOneLevel environment variable. If this
variable is set after using the Collapse All command,
then the expansion level of each node is set to 1. This means
that you will only expand one level when clicking tree nodes.
